Tech firm KBR makes big move into Huntsville’s Redstone Gateway
Technology services company KBR is making a major move in Huntsville agreeing to lease more than 200,000 square feet of space at Redstone Gateway bringing the business park’s total square footage to 1.8 million.
Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) and its joint-venture partner Jim Wilson & Associates announced Monday development space leases with KBR in two buildings to be occupied in early 2023. One building is a 172,500 square-foot office building and the second is a 45,000 square foot R&D facility. KBR will occupy 90 percent of the office building and half of the R&D building. COPT said it expects to invest $65 million in the two buildings.
