Second Hotel Under Construction at Redstone Gateway

(Huntsville, AL) …. Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) and Redstone Gateway have announced construction of a new Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott. This 150-room hotel is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023. The developer is the Huntsville based firm, Doradus Partners. Fairfield Inn and Suites will be the second hotel at Redstone Gateway joining the 120-room Towne Place Suites by Marriott.

“The demand for a second hotel became a priority as soon as the Towne Suites was built. We are pleased to be associated with Doradus Partners, a local company that is developing the Fairfield Inn and Suites project,” said James Lomax, COPT’s Huntsville VP of Asset Management & Leasing.

“We are excited to bring Fairfield Inn and Suites to the Redstone Gateway campus.

The need for a second hotel was obvious as Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal expands to meet the demands of new companies moving here,” said Srinath Yedla, CEO of Doradus Partners.

Currently, Redstone Gateway consists of 17 class-A office buildings totaling 1.5 million square feet that are 97% occupied, plus another six buildings under construction that will add 816,000 square feet.  The park’s existing amenities include The Shops at Redstone Gateway which includes 19,200 square feet of retail space, including three restaurants and a conference center.
