Redstone Gateway Partners to Support ‘Feeding Our Neighbors in Need’ Program
(Huntsville, AL) WJP Restaurants, in a joint venture with COPT, has launched its Feeding Our Neighbors in Need program at Rocket City Tavern, Dipwich All-American Sandwiches, and Fiero Mexican Street Food located in Redstone Gateway just outside Redstone Arsenal’s Gate 9 on Rideout Road. For every meal purchased, WJP Restaurant Group will donate a meal to the North Alabama Food Bank. Customers will also be able to provide extra meals through the purchase of gift cards and the signature Brownie Bites at Fiero and Dipwich. WJP Restaurant Group aims to donate a total of 60,000 meals, or more, from the combined sales at Redstone Gateway in Huntsville (45,000 targeted donated meals) and The National Business Park in Maryland (15,000 targeted donated meals).
“We have had an incredibly encouraging start to the program, with over 5,000 meals already donated at the Redstone Gateway Restaurants, and hope to see a steady rise with the holiday season quickly approaching. The outpouring of support from the local communities has been truly heartwarming, especially given the obstacles that the restaurant industry has faced throughout a challenging year,” said Peter Nolan, VP of Marketing at WJP Restaurant Group.
Throughout the year, we’ve made a concerted effort to support our tenant communities and the various industries impacted by COVID-19 including hospitals and healthcare staff, distribution of COVID care kits for communities in need, and funding for food banks,” said Bill Barroll, Senior Vice President, COPT. “The restaurant industry is no exception, which is why are proud to support our the ‘Feeding our Neighbors in Need’ program.”
COPT’s Huntsville Director of Asset Management, James Lomax, added, “It’s exciting to partner with WJP Restaurant Group on such an impactful program. The three phenomenal restaurants in Huntsville regularly provide the Redstone Arsenal community with fantastic food, and now they will be supporting those in need on top of that.”
