COPT/Redstone Gateway Announces Construction of New 40,000 Square Foot Office Building
HUNTSVILLE, AL—Corporate Office Properties Trust (“COPT”) has executed a major pre-lease with a defense contractor for 75% of the rentable square feet at 6000 Redstone Gateway, the next single-story office building slated for construction at Redstone Gateway, the mixed-use, class-A office park being developed by COPT and Jim Wilson & Associates (“JWA”). Construction is set to begin in January of
2020, with completion and lease commencement expected in the fourth quarter of 2020. Remaining square footage will be available for lease.
COPT’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Adkins, stated, “The growth of availability at Redstone Gateway continues to be an asset to government contractors locating close to their customer base on Redstone Arsenal. This pre-lease, along with other recent leases, highlights the value proposition of Redstone Gateway.”
COPT Huntsville’s Director of Asset Management, James Lomax, added, “Redstone Gateway, as Huntsville’s modern office park, is creating an amenity-rich environment focused on employee satisfaction and efficiency.
